Dhanush to Share the Screen With Rajinikanth

Beyond the being son-in-law to Rajinikanth, what Dhanush has towards the Superstar is immense respect as he is considered a role model to many, and is an ardent fan of the stalwart. So how does it feel to work with the legend, for Dhanush? With everyone including famous distributors like Girish Johar praying that it be true, the rumour is out that 'Raanjhnaa' director Anand L Rai is gearing up to cast Dhanush in the same movie as Rajinikanth.

Buzzed to be centred on the Superstar, the film is said to include Dhanush to share the screen with the mega star. Famous of his romantic runaway hits like 'Raanjhnaa' and 'Tanu Weds Manu', what does Anand Rai have in store for us this time? We have to painfully wait to watch.

Sunny Leone's hot shoot for Maxim

Adult star turned actress Sunny Leone is busy promoting her film 'Jacklpot which also stars Kollywood actor Bharath, making his Bollywood debut with the film. Ever since her debut in Jism 2, she has been the talk of the town and the Indo-Canadian pornstar makes her debut on Maxim with a sizzling shoot. Posing in a purple figure hugging bodysuit and a jacket in hand, the adult star turned actress perfectly pulls off the seductive look.

Sunny Leone looks scorching hot in this photoshoot for the November issue of Maxim India. "Your brain is your biggest sex organ, so use it wisely", says Sunny.

In another, Sunny even went topless for the shoot, clad in a simple black knickers. The magazine also features an in depth article titled 'Sunny In the Mood and In Control'. The sexy actress is also seen in a seductive little lacy number sprawling on the white linen bed, with a tag that goes, 'Sunny kicks off the festive season with a bang!'

Ramya to tie the knot with Ajith

Popular VJ, Ramya, is set to tie the knot with Chennai-based auditor, Ajith Jayaraman, in February. She says, "My parents were looking for a suitable guy for me for quite sometime. When we came across Ajith's profile, we were very impressed. I always wanted to settle in Chennai and I really cannot think of leaving my city. Though Ajith has studied in London, he is very much a Chennai boy. I am getting to know about him only after my engagement. I think we have good wavelength though we have different interests in life." She adds, "I find him a typical samathu guy."

She says, "I am planning to work behind the scenes in films and television after my marriage. But, my fiance wants me to continue hosting shows on TV as I am doing well in it. I am yet to take a call on it. I feel happy that I will continue to be in the buzz of Chennai even after my marriage."

Vijay gets into a fight

  Vijay's upcoming movie Jilla, directed by Nesan is being shot at brisk pace. The star actor is apparently shooting for an introductory fight sequence at Chengalpet, under the supervision of stunt master Silva. The much awaited flick which is set to hit the screens for Pongal 2014 also stars Mohanlal, Kajal Agarwal, Mahat and Soori in the lead.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal's final schedule for the film will begin in Pollachi, on November 25 and would be wrapped before the end of the month. The film is being shot simultaneously in different locations in order to complete the shoot at the earliest and get the film ready for Pongal release.

The distribution rights of Jilla has been sold out in all areas within 2 days after producer RB Choudary opened trade on the film. Looks like the fans are in for a massive festive treat early next year.

Director Bala focuses on Karagattam

The latest from director Bala is that he is all set to start off his next project after Paradesi. The movie will be based on the Karagattam dance form in Tamil Nadu. Sasikumar will play the lead and the movie will have 2 heroines. It is said that the second heroine in the movie will play the character of a Karagattam dancer.
 
It is being reported that Bala will retain the same crew that worked with him in Paradesi. Chezhiyan will handle the camera and G.V Prakash will compose music for the film. Stay tuned for more updates.

RAJA RANI DIRECTOR FOR AJITH

Atlee is currently penning a script for his next film which is to be produced by Next Big Film who also produced Raja Rani. Now the latest buzz in K-town is that Atlee might direct Ajith .
The buzz adds that it was Arya who suggested Atlee to Ajith and if all goes well Ajith will give his nod once Atlee narrates the complete script.
It is also said that Atlee has narrated a one line story to Ajith . Recently there  was a rumor that Vikram Kumar of Yavarum Nalam fame will direct but nothing has been confirmed it.
When asked sources close to Ajith they said Ajith has signed only on project after Veeram and it is with Gautham Menon.

ARRAMBAM REVIEW FIRST ON NET

This time it is Thala Diwali, with Ajith sizzling the screen with Aarambam! He has good support with Arya, Nayan, Rana, Tapsee and a horde of cast. Aarambam is a flick where style meets action in a predicted way trying to make it big counting on Ajith's tremendous performance. The story in limelight is the usual Old wine in new bottle and as always the presentation counts and that has made all the difference. 

STORY:

Ashok aka AK (Ajith), with the help of Maya (Nayanthara), kidnaps Arjun (Arya), a talented hawker. With the help of Arjun, Ashok crashes the network of a media group.

In the meantime, Arjun also comes to know that Ashok is behind serial blasts in Mumbai. He is helpless however, since he and his lover Maya (Tapsee) are in the custody of Ashok.

Even as performing the orders of Ashok, Arjun lays a trap and ensures that Ashok is caught by the police team, led by Prakash (Kishore).

However, after coming to know the past of Ashok (who is a police officer cheated by a Minister (Mahesh Manjrekar), a top police official (Atul Kulkarni), a media baron and a journalist (Suman Ranganathan), Arjun decides to help him.

While on their mission, the duo of Ashok and Arjun learns that the Minister is planning to cheat the country in a much bigger way. What next is a racy climax.

ANALYSIS:

Ajith clearly sets an example as to what kind of characters an actor above 40 can do. Without any romance or duets, he simply walks away with all honours, with his performance, body language and stunts.

The actor performs dare devil stunts and they are a treat to watch. Arya is impressive and plays an otherwise cool guy who becomes hot due to his surroundings.

Nayanthara, as 'woman friday' of Ajith, is good. Tapsee adds value to her innocent role. Rana Daggubati is the surprise package, as the Tollywood actor, who plays Ajith's friend, reminds us the sacrifice of Mumbai police officer Hemant Karkare.

Kishore, Atul Kulkarni, Suma Ranganathan, Akshara Gowda and others adequate.

Due credits to director Vishnuvardhan and writers Suba, who prove the value of the script and narration. The filmmaker wins for the second time in the company of Ajith, after Billa.

Om Prakash's cinematography is a big strength. On the other hand, the big letdown is songs by Yuvan Shankar Raja, though his background score is okay.

On the flip side, the flashback scenes are little slow and the climax dialogues between Ajith and Mahesh Manjrekar could have been shortened.

But there is no denying that Arrambam is an ultimate Deepavali treat for Ajith fans.

Mallika Sherawat abused

Actress Mallika Sherawat who has starred in Kamal Haasan 'Dasavathaaram' halted the shoot of her show 'The Bachelorette India - Mere Khaylaon Ki Mallika' for whole three days after one of the contestants reportedly used a cuss word against her. In what was supposed to be the gathering of affable suitors on the sets of the dating reality show, the contestants entered into a verbal spat over difference of opinion on the actress.

During the brawl, one of the contestants cast aspersions on Mallika reducing her to tears, even as celebrity guest Mahesh Bhatt was watching on, sources said. Mallika left the shoot immediately, sources said, adding that she was very upset and refused to shoot for the show.

The cast and crew did their best to convince her, however, the actress did not relent and stalled the shoot for three days. She agreed to shoot only after intervention by top bosses of the production house, sources said.

'The Bachelorette India -Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika' is a spin-off from the American competitive reality dating game show.

Raja Rani crosses 50 crore mark

Raja Rani starring Arya, Nayanthara, Jai, Nazriya Nazim and Sathyraj hit the screens on September 27. The film directed by debutant Atlee has been doing wonders at the Box Office ever since its release. The film has received tremendous response from the audience.

The makers of Raja Rani have issued a press release stating that the film has collected around 50 crores in the first 25 days. Raja Rani is the third highest grosser of the year. The film is set to be screened at the 15th edition of Mumbai Film Festival on 24th October.
Raja Rani BO collections indicate that it is the biggest opening in Arya’s career till date. The film was produced by AR Murugadoss jointly with Fox Star Studios. GV Prakash has scored the music.

Arrambam - Some interesting tidbits

Before fixing on the title Arrambam, director Vishnuvardhan had about 4 to 4.5 pages of title options and it wasn't any marketing strategy to hold back the title. The team was looking for something that would suit the story and hence waited long for the final choice. They announced it as soon as they fixed the title. 
Neil Roy has done the title design, with the power button taking a prominent place, and Neil has worked on all Vishnuvardhan title designs including the much-loved Billa logo. 
The team has used different masters for different action sequences and songs, based on the theme of that particular sequence. Choreographer Dinesh has done the choreography for two songs and Shobi has choreographed the song "En Fuse Pochu".
The story of Arrambam was not written specifically for Ajith. He would be seen just as the character that he plays in the film and his role wasn't modified for the sake of his mass image.
The movie introduces Akshara Gowda in a prominent character role. She plays the daughter of Mahesh Manjrekar, who is also marking his debut in Tamil films. Akshara Gowda will appear in the much hyped boat chase sequence.
Nayanthara has a played a role which is beyond glamour. She apparently is involved in some surprising stunt sequences.
The total run time of Arrambam is more than 2 hours. Precisely "2 hours and tic toc tic toc" - Ajith i-shtyle.

The world's biggest family: The man with 39 wives, 94 children and 33 grandchildren

He is head of the world's biggest family - and says he is 'blessed'  to have his 39 wives. 

 Ziona Chana also has 94 children, 14-daughters-in-law and 33 grandchildren.
They live in a 100-room, four storey house set amidst the hills of Baktwang village in the Indian state of Mizoram, where the wives sleep in giant communal dormitories.

Mr Chana told the Sun: 'Today I feel like God's special child. He's given me so many people to look after.
'I consider myself a lucky man to be the husband of 39 women and head of the world's largest family.'
The family is organised with almost military discipline, with the oldest wife Zathiangi organising her fellow partners to perform household chores such as cleaning, washing and preparing meals. 
One evening meal can see them pluck 30 chickens, peel 132lb of potatoes and boil up to 220lb of rice.
Coincidentally, Mr Chana is also head of a sect that allows members to take as many wives as he wants.

He even married ten women in one year, when he was at his most prolific, and enjoys his own double bed while his wives have to make do with communal dormitories. 
He keeps the youngest women near to his bedroom with the older members of the family sleeping further away - and there is a rotation system for who visits Mr Chana's bedroom.
Rinkmini, one of Mr Chana's wives who is 35 years old, said: 'We stay around him as he is the most important person in the house. He is the most handsome person in the village.

G.V.Prakash's Love Story with Sri Divya

The Young Music Director G.V Prakash was all set to transform himself to an actor in a movie titled "Pencil" which was to be directed by a former assistant of Gautham Vasudev Menon.
GV portrays the role of 12th Standard student in this thriller, Initial reports had it that Priya Anand would be playing the female lead but those reports have been thrashed as rumors.
The official incoming report is that current Kollywood sensation the Oodha Color Ribbon Sri Divya will be pairing up with G.V Prakash for exciting project. Gopi Amarantha of Pizza fame will be cranking up the camera with GV also incharge of the Music Department.
The movie is expected to go on floors on the month of December.

Surya - Lingusamy project is a 3D Movie !

Surya who recently hit the breaking news after dropping out of Gautham Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram has accounted for lost time by commencing the lingusamy project. Samantha Ruth Prabhu will pair up with Surya for the first time with Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music.


The latest buzz on the project is the prospect it being a 3D movie, Reliable sources add it was the reason why Cinematographer Santhosh Sivan was roped in by Lingusamy at the last moment.
Suriya-Lingusamy film will be the first in world to use ‘Red Dragon’ Camera, The Ace Cinematographer said  "This morning, it was a splendid moment to witness yet another incredulous extravaganza as Tamil industry becomes the first to shoot a film with ‘Red Dragon Digital’ Camera in the world. I want the technological advancement to first happen in Chennai and this is one such sign,Although the visual medium remains the same, such advancements in camera results in enhancing the pictorial details”.
Director Lingusamy revealed “I have been waiting for a very long time to make a film with Suriya. Post-Vettai, I spent a quality time in nurturing this project and crafted this script. In the recent times, there are lots of young filmmakers rocking in the industry. I have to prepare myself to compete with them. This film is yet to be titled and we have an excellent team of techncians. I have been an ardent fan of Santhosh Sivan from the time I watched his ‘Thalapathy’. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores music, Rajeevan is the art director and Anthony is editor. Brindha Saarathy pens dialogues. Samantha plays the female lead role.”
Surya who's back off a blockbuster in Singam said, “I am really privileged to be a part of this project. I have been the visual magic of Santhosh Sivan sir from my childhood and I’m happy to be a part of this project. It gets me more excited we are the first one to use ‘Red Dragon’ Camera in the entire world and world famous filmmakers like Ridley Scott are going to use it.”
The film goes on floors from November 15 and is scheduled for release in May 2013.
